Available databases

The University subscribes to a vast number of multidisciplinary databases or covering specific disciplinary areas. The negotiation process takes place both at local and national levels through the CARE-CRUI coordination.

Further resources are accessible due to ongoing trials for potential acquisitions.

Almost all content can be accessed simultaneously by an unlimited number of users.

Lists by database type:

  • bibliographic databases and full-text bibliographic databases: they collect and make searchable the bibliographic references of what has been published in specific fields of investigation, geographical areas or chronological periods; full-text bibliographic databases also allow direct access to the full text of the registered publications;
  • factual databases: they collect and make searchable primary data such as company financial statements, economic and financial statistical data, chemical-physical data, sources and texts;
  • citation databases: interdisciplinary databases that, for registered publications, provide citation indices useful for quantitative bibliometric measurement of scientific literature.
