The University of Bologna, through the services of AlmaDL, since 2022 provides qualified staff to support students, faculty, researchers and research and teaching collaborators on issues such as copyright and other rights related to its exercise, as well as the protection and enhancement of cultural heritage.

The service is aimed at ensuring the correct application of the legislation, also in compliance with the principles of Open Science, in particular for:

  • the activities of the sectors and offices of the Cultural Heritage Area in the areas of competence;
  • the negotiation and drafting of contractual clauses for the management of copyright in the context of the publication activities of research products;
  • Open Access of scientific publications;
  • Diamond Open Access publishing initiatives;
  • final dissertation and doctoral theses;
  • cultural heritage digitization projects.

The service provides specialized information and training on legal issues of expertise through the organization of courses, seminars, guides, and information and support materials.
