Obligations of the parties

Users are permitted to access the QPAT/ORBIT database and use the available services solely for the purpose of carrying out their normal activities. The University of Bologna is responsible for providing access to the services within the limits of the licences made available to the users. Users acknowledge and agree that the information acquired by accessing the QPAT/ORBIT database will not be shared with third parties outside the University of Bologna, whether for free or for a considerationUsers will be solely responsible for any copyright infringement, misuse of the information, direct or indirect loss and/or damage resulting from improper use of the data, risks, damage and/or loss due to accessing the QPAT/ORBIT database not through the services provided by the University Library System. The same holds true for events or conduct that the user is directly or indirectly accountable. In these cases, the University of Bologna shall be free from any burden and/or liability and shall be able to seek recourse against users for any claims made by QUESTEL or third parties. Furthermore, users are required to take all necessary measures to ensure proper use of the service and avoid any potential forms of abuse. Users are prohibited from using robots or other automated systems to access the information available in the QPAT/ORBIT database, as well as from systematically downloading data or significant portions of the database.

 

Service availability

Access to the QPAT/ORBIT database is limited to the number of licences available to the University of Bologna. Users have access to the database on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week, except for extraordinary maintenance interventions for which the University of Bologna cannot be held accountable under any circumstances.

 

How to access the platform

The first access to the platform must be made from a device connected to the University of Bologna network. Users must complete a registration process using their institutional email account (@unibo.it, @studio.unibo.it) as username and choose a personal password after receiving the registration confirmation email.

Users must connect to the University of Bologna network or use the proxy service to authenticate with their personal credentials for subsequent logins.
