AlmaRE is in charge of the following activities:

  • managing the transition from paper to digital;
  • coordinating the selection and acquisition of the University of Bologna's electronic resources based on the choices of the Library Scientific Committees;
  • providing access to the digital collections acquired by the University of Bologna to all institutional users to support education, research and the third mission of the University;
  • enhancing the digital collections through the activation and management of advanced services;
  • rregularly checking the use of electronic resources to make sure new acquisitions meet the users needs.
