As of 27 September 2023, a new registration procedure for all the University libraries will be active: by registering at any library of the University of Bologna, users will simultaneously get access to the lending services in all the libraries of the University Library System.
The membership is immediately effective, it will remain valid for one year, and can be renewed in any University library.
An id card is required for the first registration and for any renewal; for borrowing books and other items you just need your own University badge.
For those who are already registered in one or more University of Bologna libraries, the membership to the Library System is automatic and will be finalised at the first access to lending services from 27 September, at any University library.
During the changeover to the new system, on 25 and 26 September, the loan services will be temporarily suspended.
The libraries will still be open, and all material will be available for consultation. The library staff will provide support for any information or specific need.
