The University of Bologna has joined the national CARE-CRUI agreement signed with De Gruyter. This transformative agreement covers both the subscription fees for accessing the journals of the full collection subscribed by the University of Bologna and the fees for publishing in Open Access in most of the hybrid journals included in the same collection and in all hybrid journals that will be converted to Open Access during the term of the agreement.
Publishing incentives
The agreement covers the publication fees up to the annual national buffer available to all institutions that have signed the agreement. Once the national buffer is exhausted, the publication fees are borne by the individual author with a 20% price reduction on the list price.
Furthermore, authors can publish in hybrid journals not covered by the agreement with a 10% price reduction on the list price.
Full Open Access journals not are not covered by the agreement; therefore, the publication fees are borne by the authors with a 20% price reduction on the list price.
