Since 2016, the University of Bologna has provided qualified personnel and the technological infrastructure to publish, preserve and disseminate unpublished contributions online via the AMS Acta service.

The archive hosts contributions of scientific value individually (as monographs) or collected in collective works (as series and conference proceedings).

Scientific journals are instead published via AlmaDL Journals.

The service is aimed at lecturers, researchers, PhD students, research associates and technical-administrative staff of the University of Bologna who are authors or co-authors of the contribution.

AMS Acta allows authors to disseminate their scientific production online according to the principles of Open Access, implementing user licences that encourage discovery, study and sharing of contributions, including Creative Commons licences.

AlmaDL guarantees secure and reliable access to contributions, ensures their long-term preservation, tracking, retrieval and citability online through persistent identifiers.

The AMS Acta archive is identified by ISSN 2038-7954.
