  5. External users with temporary admission to a single library (walk-in users, visiting professors).

 

Permitted uses

  • Viewing, downloading, printing a single copy or limited portions for personal, instructional, or research needs.
  • Using e-resources for scholarly, educational or scientific research, teaching, personal study.

 

Not permitted uses

  • Selling, distributing or otherwise commercially profiting from use of licensed material.
  • Removing or altering the copyright notice on any licensed materials.
  • Systematic copying or downloading (e.g., downloading/printing/copying all the articles in a journal issue) any licensed content.
  • Using robots, spiders or intelligent agents to access, search and/or systematically download from electronic resources.
  • Sharing your account login credentials to allow others to login with the potential of accessing the Library's subscribed e-resources.

 

How to access

  • On campus: electronic resources may be accessed through a wired connection or through the secure wireless connection.
  • Off-campus: authorized users – except temporary users - can access Library electronic resources through EZproxy logging in with UNIBO username and password.

 

Grey Areas

  • Some license agreements make express allowances for electronic course packs, multiple copies for classroom use; other licenses may prohibit one or more of these activities.
