Following the Prime Ministerial Decree of March 8th, 2020 linked to COVID19, Libraries will be closed to the public until April 3rd, 2020.

Following the Prime Ministerial Decree linked to COVID19, Libraries will be closed to the public until May 3rd, 2020.  Remote services are available.

New rules on the use of Libraries

Following the DPCM of November 3rd 2020, starting from November 6 until December 3 2020 University libraries will be open from Monday to Friday or Saturday at the latest until 7 pm.

Library capacity increases again

Following the introduction of the COVID Certificate (“Green Pass”) and the easing of several pandemic measures, library capacity is once again being increased. It is therefore no longer necessary to book seats in reading rooms. The new rules will take effect on 10 November 2021.

What will change in libraries from 1 May 2022?

Pending the conversion into law of the decree-law of 24 March 2022, aimed at moving past the state of emergency, the Order of the Ministry of Health of 28 April 2022 and the Circular of the Public Administration Minister of 29 April provide further indications for the progressive resumption of all activities in an ordinary manner.

Single registration procedure for all the University libraries

As of 27 September, a new registration procedure for all the University libraries will be active: by registering at any library of the University of Bologna, users will simultaneously get access to the lending services in all the libraries of the University Library System.
